bullet ADULT DAY PROGRAMS & SERVICES

Registered Nurses P/T (Bohemia)
Provide first aid and emergency treatment for participants and staff. Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians. Conduct rounds of assigned participants for purpose of assessment. Employee PPD's.. Attend participant meetings as assigned. Documentation and follow-up on nursing activities. Maintain program safety standards License to practice nursing in NYS necessary. Current CPR certification required.

Program Aides – F/T (Hauppauge)
Assists in implementation and recording of program services for individuals as outlined in each individual’s plan of care. Responsible for the protective oversight and safeguards of the individuals assigned throughout the program day. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. SCIP-R, AMAP and CPR certification preferred. Clean and valid NYS Drivers License required.

Day Habilitation Assts. – F/T (Marcus & Bohemia)
Responsible for the implementation of individualized services in all Day Habilitation areas emphasizing community integration and in-house activities to enhance the People Served in their chosen outcomes affecting his/her capacity to live, work, socialize, and participate within the community. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training. Valid New York State Driver's License required and Valid First Aid Certification necessary.

bullet EDUCATION

Occupational Therapist - P/T 15 hours/week (Commack)
Responsible for the evaluation, treatment and related paperwork of students who have been referred by Early Intervention, Committee of Preschool Education and Committee on Special Education as per physician’s prescription and assigned by Clinical Supervisor. Position offers cases on site in our highly motivational ‘Play Space’ (PT/OT gymnasium), Technology Suite and Snoezelen Room.Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited school recognized by the AOTA. New York State licensure or eligibility in Occupational Therapy. National board certification required (OTR). Pediatric experience preferred but not required.New graduates welcome!

Speech Language Pathologist F/T (Commack)
The Speech-Language Pathologist is responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of speech-language, pre-speech and feeding disorders for communicatively impaired individuals as assigned by the Clinical Supervisor Master's degree (M. A.) or equivalent and three to five years of related experience and/or training. Certification by the American Speech/Language Hearing Association.New York State Licensure.

Teacher Subs (Commack)
Responsible for the education of each student on a day-to-day basis. Directly supervises teacher aides. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the school's policies and procedures. Responsibilities include; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Minimum, Bachelor's degree (B. A.), and a Master of Science degree, from four-year college or university. Previous teaching experience is preferred. NYS Teaching certification in Special Education or NYS Teaching Certification in another area (i.e., Elementary Education, Social Studies, etc.) required.

Teacher Aides Subs (Commack)
Assists classroom teacher in curriculum implementation by working with individuals or groups of children as assigned by classroom teacher. Assists in implementing strategies suggested by clinicians to the teacher. Performs frequent daily lifting of individuals with disabilities (ages 2-21), for their activities of daily living needs. High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

bullet ADMINISTRATION

Assistant Director of Human Resources (Hauppauge)
The ideal candidate will have five plus years of progressive human resources generalist experience with at least three years supervisory experience, preferably in a not-for-profit or healthcare environment. Candidate will have both strategic and “hands-on" experience with recruiting, compensation, benefits administration and compliance, training and development, the ability to partner with program management to investigate and resolve employee and labor relations issues and compliance. Responsibilities will also include the oversight of the day-to-day operations of the HR department. Individual must have the ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple priorities in a fast paced environment. Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or Master' degree in Human Resources Management. Five (5) plus years of Human Resources Generalist experience with three (3) years of experience in a management role. Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) or Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred.

Corporate Compliance Officer (Hauppauge)
The Corporate Compliance Officer oversees the Corporate Compliance Program, functioning as an independent and objective body that reviews and evaluates compliance issues/concerns within the organization. The position ensures the Board of Directors, management and employees are in compliance with the rules and regulations of regulatory agencies, that company policies and procedures are being followed, and that behavior in the organization meets the company’s Standards of Conduct. The Corporate Compliance Office exists as a channel of communication to receive and direct compliance issues to appropriate resources for investigation and resolution, and as a final internal resource with which concerned parties may communicate after other formal channels and resources have been exhausted. Bachelor’s degree required, Master's degree desired or equivalent in health care, human services, or business administration. Familiarity with operational, financial, quality assurance, and human resource procedures and regulations (OMRDD, DOH, SED, and other state and federal regulatory bodies) is a must. Minimum of 5 years experience in senior management with a demonstrated record of corporate compliance achievements.

Residence Managers (Various locations)
Manages one subordinate supervisor (Assistant Residence Manager) who supervises a total of up to 13 employees in the Residence. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to three years related experience and/or training. Supervisory experience in the field of developmental disabilities necessary. Valid clean NYS Driver's License required. SCIP-R, CPR, and AMAP certification preferred.

Assistant Residence Managers (Various locations)
Assist Residence Manager to perform all duties related to oversight of assigned residential program serving individuals with developmental disabilities. Function as Manager in Manager's absence. Supervises a total of up to 13 employees in the Residence. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to six months related experience and/or training. Supervisory experience in the field of developmental disabilities necessary. Valid clean NYS Driver's License required. SCIP-R, CPR, and AMAP certification preferred.

Registered Nurses - F/T, P/T & Per Diem (Various locations)
Responsible for monitoring and assisting in the overall health and safety of the individuals served. Insure that all indicated medical appointments are scheduled and followed up appropriately. Insure maintenance of all medical records per state and federal guidelines. Attend annual/interim meetings, weekly IDT meetings, and staff meetings. Participate in supervision and in-service training of direct care staff. Meet regularly with residence managers to discuss current health care concerns (minimum once weekly). Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and one to six months' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. New York State - Licensed Registered Nurse required.

Mid Level Supervisor (Commack)
Supervise Direct Care Staff during shift assigned, while ensuring quality of care and therapeutic interaction for all program participants. Directly supervises 30 employees in Residential. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and two (2) years full-time experience in the care of the developmentally/physically delayed children or adults. College training may be substituted for up to two (2) years of non-supervisory experience on a year-for-year basis.

Direct Support Professionals - F/T, P/T & Per Diem (Various Locations)
Assist individuals with developmental disabilities in activities of daily living. High school degree or GED required. Must have a clean and valid NYS Driver’s License.
