bullet ADULT DAY PROGRAMS

Nurse Manager F/T (Marcus)
Develop and ensure implementation of nursing care for Adult Day Programs & Services. Supervise R.N’s and related health staff (Program Health Assistants) in the organization and delivery of quality medical/health services to meet the day program needs of participants. Assures all regulatory requirements are maintained as per OPWDD, Dept. of Health, OSHA, CARF and any other legal and agency rules, regulations, polices. Responsible for day-to-day medical decisions regarding routine, emergency, and health alerts - includes direct hands-on care. Five years related experience and/or training, minimum. NYS Registered Nurse License and NYS Driver’s License required.

Program Aides – F/T (Hauppauge)
Assists in implementation and recording of program services for individuals as outlined in each individual’s plan of care. Responsible for the protective oversight and safeguards of the individuals assigned throughout the program day. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. SCIP-R, AMAP and CPR certification preferred. Clean and valid NYS Drivers License required.

Community Habilitation Asst. Managers F/T & P/T (Hauppauge)
Responsible for the implementation of individualized services in all Community Habilitation areas emphasizing community integration and in-home activities to enhance the individuals served in their chosen outcomes to live, work, volunteer, socialize and participate within their community to their maximum independence. High school diploma or Test Assessing Secondary Completion (TASC); One year related experience and/or training. Current valid NYS Drivers license. Current First Aide/CPR Certification (within probationary period). Others as required by regulation changes.

Day Habilitation Assts. – F/T (Marcus)
Responsible for the implementation of individualized services in all Day Habilitation areas emphasizing community integration and in-house activities to enhance the People Served in their chosen outcomes affecting his/her capacity to live, work, socialize, and participate within the community. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training. Valid New York State Driver's License required and Valid First Aid Certification necessary.

bullet EDUCATION

Occupational Therapist P/T - 6 hours/ week (Commack)
Responsible for the evaluation and treatment of those consumers who have been referred by CSE/CPSE and physician script has been obtained, and assigned by the Clinical Supervisor. Directly supervises COTAs and Limited permit OT students. Responsibilities include training/in-servicing employees in work related functions. Bachelor's degree (B. A.) and two years related (pediatric) experience preferred.. NYS License/Certification or eligibility upon graduation. Certification by the National Board of Certified Occupational Therapists (NBCOT) required.

Psychologist P/T – (Commack)
Responsible for providing assessment, therapeutic, and consultation services to students and/or families served by the Education Department. Master's degree (M. A.) or equivalent and one to six months related experience. Certification as School Psychologist (pending and/or in process) in applied psychology, e.g., school, clinical, counseling, educational, etc. Classification as a Psychologist requires that the New York State License of Psychologist be obtained.

Teacher Subs (Commack)
Responsible for the education of each student on a day-to-day basis. Directly supervises teacher aides. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the school's policies and procedures. Responsibilities include; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Minimum, Bachelor's degree (B. A.), and a Master of Science degree, from four-year college or university. Previous teaching experience is preferred. NYS Teaching certification in Special Education or NYS Teaching Certification in another area (i.e., Elementary Education, Social Studies, etc.) required.

Teacher Aides Subs (Commack)
Assists classroom teacher in curriculum implementation by working with individuals or groups of children as assigned by classroom teacher. Assists in implementing strategies suggested by clinicians to the teacher. Performs frequent daily lifting of individuals with disabilities (ages 2-21), for their activities of daily living needs. High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

Residence Managers (Various locations)
Manages one subordinate supervisor (Assistant Residence Manager) who supervises a total of up to 13 employees in the Residence. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to three years related experience and/or training. Supervisory experience in the field of developmental disabilities necessary. Valid clean NYS Driver's License required. SCIP-R, CPR, and AMAP certification preferred.

Assistant Residence Managers (Various locations)
Assist Residence Manager to perform all duties related to oversight of assigned residential program serving individuals with developmental disabilities. Function as Manager in Manager's absence. Supervises a total of up to 13 employees in the Residence. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to six months related experience and/or training. Supervisory experience in the field of developmental disabilities necessary. Valid clean NYS Driver's License required. SCIP-R, CPR, and AMAP certification preferred.

Registered Nurses - F/T, P/T & Per Diem (Various locations)
Responsible for monitoring and assisting in the overall health and safety of the individuals served. Insure that all indicated medical appointments are scheduled and followed up appropriately. Insure maintenance of all medical records per state and federal guidelines. Attend annual/interim meetings, weekly IDT meetings, and staff meetings. Participate in supervision and in-service training of direct care staff. Meet regularly with residence managers to discuss current health care concerns (minimum once weekly). Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and one to six months' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. New York State - Licensed Registered Nurse required.

Cook - P/T & Per Diem (Commack)
Provide nutritious meals, box lunches and snacks in regulation with the special dietary needs of the participants. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Direct Support Professionals - F/T, P/T & Per Diem (Various Locations)
Assist individuals with developmental disabilities in activities of daily living. High school degree or GED required. Must have a clean and valid NYS Driver’s License.

FACILITIES

Custodial Supervisor F/T (Commack & Hauppauge)
Supervises and directs staff involved in maintaining facilities. Responsible for maintaining each facility in a clean, comfortable and safe environment for all participants and staff. HS Diploma or GED and 1-3 months experience and/or training required. Must have one year experience in housekeeping or similar field. Clean and Valid NYS Drivers License necessary.

FINANCE

Payroll Specialist (Hauppauge)
Perform accurate and timely processing of payroll using ADP Pay force for approximately 1100 employees with multi-unions. Calculate multiple pay rates, over time and shift differentials. Process deductions for 403b, medical insurance, union dues, act Process garnishments and verifications of employment. Distribute paychecks to department managers. Three years working experience with ADP pay force /(similar ADP payroll product) & ADP report writer and proficiency in Excel required.  High school diploma or GED necessary. Knowledge of Time & Attendance for MITC a plus.
